How much smaller is the Tacoma Access Cab

Before we get to the specs of these two different cabs, we should talk about doors for a minute. The rear door on the larger Double Cab is much like the front door. It opens back to front, and it can be opened independent of the front door. The rear door on the Access Cab is the opposite. It opens front to back and you have to have the appropriate front door open to get that back door open.

It’s also worth noting that the only difference in these two cabs comes in the rear row. All the front row passenger room specs from legroom to headroom, are identical from cab to cab. With that said, let’s explore the second-row differences for these cabs.

What Tacoma trim levels are available with which cabs?

All trim levels at least offer an option for the larger Double Cab, so if that was what you wanted, then you do not have to worry about that. However, if you prefer the smaller Access Cab, then you still have most of the lineup to choose from. However, the Access Cab may limit some of your features and options. It also isn’t available on the top Limited and TRD Pro trim levels.
