Learn why the Tundra beats the F-150

When you want a powerful engine, try the Tundra. It comes with a 5.7-liter V8 standard on every trim level. This engine produces 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque. Compare that to the standard F-150 engine with just 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque.

The Ford F-150 loves to pad its numbers. By offering models with limited towing, engine options, and even seating capacity, you get a truck that appears more affordable. The modern truck user wants to have room for more than just two passengers stuffed in the front row. That’s why all Tundra models offer seating for six.

When it comes to adaptive cruise control, the Tundra includes it on every single trim level from the base SR trim on up through the top TRD Pro trim. On the F-150 you have to go up to the King Ranch trim level for it to even be an available feature and it only comes standard on the very top Limited trim which has a starting MSRP of $67,485. That’s over $14,000 more than the very top Tundra trim level the TRD Pro. Adaptive cruise control is ideal for those long journeys or even short commutes. It will maintain your speed with the flow of traffic reducing highway fatigue.

The F-150 loves to claim that it has a huge towing capacity, and it can be outfitted to beat the Tundra sure, but standard, it only offers 5,000 pounds of towing capacity. No matter how you outfit the 2020 Tundra, you will not get a towing capacity that low.
