Ford has implemented new and innovative technology into the new Ford Fusion to help make this one of the safest vehicles on the road today. Ford has made a rearview backup camera standard across all trim levels on the new Fusion model. When you put the Fusion into reverse, the backup camera will automatically transmit the image of what's behind you to the touch screen while you are backing up.
SYNC-3
One of the most standout technology features that is offered on the Ford Fusion is the voice activated SYNC-3 infotainment system. Drivers are able to pair their smartphone or compatible MP3 player up with it via bluetooth connection. This allows them to use voice commands to make hands-free calls, control a music library, and more. Drivers can also use SYNC-3 to navigate with built in maps, call 911 for them if they are unable to, and schedule service appointments that will provide drivers with detailed health reports regarding their Ford Fusion.
Inflatable Rear Seatbelts
The Ford Fusion model is the first vehicle in the mid-size sedan segment to feature inflatable second-row rear safety belts. This new technology gives added peace of mind to drivers, and is one of the things that makes the Ford Fusion stand apart in its class. This technology works to distribute the crash-force energy across more of the torso area. This helps to reduce the risk of injury in the event of an accident.
