What Do I Do When My Lease is Over?
Whether you leased a Toyota from us or not, you can visit our Toyota lease return center to return the leased vehicle. Before you bring in your lease vehicle, make sure that you clean it and remove all personal belongings. When returning a lease vehicle, there are a few things you need to remember to bring:
- Two keys for the vehicle
- The vehicle’s owner’s manual
- Vehicle inspection report
- Original equipment and accessories
Should My Leased Vehicle Be Inspected Before Return?
If this is your first time leasing a vehicle, you might not know if a vehicle inspection is required before return. While an inspection is not required, you can still choose to get one done. If you choose to get the vehicle inspected before returning it, you’ll know ahead of time about any wear and tear that has occurred during your lease period. This allows you to decide if you want to pay for repairs and/or maintenance.
However, if you don’t have time to get an inspection done before your return the vehicle, the lease will be grounded until an inspection can be done by us. The vehicle will be entered into our database so that you won’t receive any late fees. Once an inspection is performed, we will send you a bill for any repairs, excess mileage, and/or disposition fees.
