How Safe is the 4Runner?

Though the 2022 Toyota 4Runner has been on the roads for over three decades, it receives mediocre safety ratings. The NHTSA gave the 2022 Toyota 4Runner a four-star overall safety rating. According to the NHTSA, the side crash protection and front impact test scores were good, but the 2022 Toyota 4Runner has a lot of room to improve when it comes to rollover protection. However, the 2022 4Runner scored well in the four crashworthiness tests conducted by IIHS. Owing to these ratings, we can conclude that the 2022 Toyota 4Runner is an SUV you can have in your garage.
