2017 Toyota Prius Prime Engine Specs

The 2017 Toyota Prius Prime is styled to resemble its regular Prius sibling. However, it is outfitted with slightly different mechanisms under the hood. These mechanisms make up a 121 net horsepower (90 kW) hybrid system that includes:

95 horsepower 1.8L 4-cylinder DOHC engine with VVT-i and EV/ECO/POWER Modes
600-volt (maximum) electric motor
8.8 kWh, 351.5-volt, Lithium-ion traction battery
