Toyota introduces Concept-i at 2017 CES

At the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which recently took place in Las Vegas, Toyota revealed its new Concept-i vehicle. The concept demonstrates the future of automotive technology by combining advanced artificial intelligence with meaningful human interaction.

What is Toyota Concept-i?

Toyota’s new Concept-i takes automotive technology to the next level by building and maintaining a human-like relationship with the driver. It’s no secret that future technology will allow cars to be connected to one another and to the person behind the wheel, but what if future vehicles could measure emotion and improve the quality of life? That’s what the Toyota Concept-i is all about.

Toyota Concept-i was designed by Toyota’s CALTY Design Research in Newport Beach, CA along with user experience technology development, courtesy of the Toyota Innovation Hub in San Francisco. The philosophy behind Concept-i is “kinetic warmth,” the belief that automotive technology should be warm, welcoming, and fun.

Toyota Demonstrates New Developments in Guardian and Chauffeur Autonomous Driving Modes

It's no secret that Toyota is making big strides when it comes to autonomous driving technology. In fact, Toyota Research Institute recently came out with a video demonstrating recent developments in its Guardian and Chauffeur autonomous driving platforms.
