What is the liftgate feature?

Have you’ve ever fumbled to open your trunk, when you have a child in your arms, or an arm full of shopping bags? Chances are that you have, and that’s where Toyota’s liftgate features can be of assistance. The feature allows you to go hands-free when it comes to putting items in the trunk of your crossover or SUV model – which can take the hassle out of the tasks you have to accomplish every single day.

You can utilize the system from both the inside and outside of the car. When you’re inside, a button to the left of the steering wheel can open, pause, and close the liftgate. When you have your key fob on your person, all you have to do is walk over to the trunk, wave your foot underneath the bumper, and it should open for you.
